Sean Combs is following in Oprah’s footsteps and plans to start his own cable network called “Revolt.” It’s rumored to be a music and lifestyle channel “as the old days of MTV, but for more of the African American audience” launching near the end of 2012/beginning of 2013. Seems like he has recruited a former MTV programmer by the name of Andy Schuon.

According to the New York Times “COMCAST reportedly will carry the channel as part of its ongoing effort to launch minority-owned networks. Launching the networks were part of the company’s agreement to merge with NBC UNIVERSAL. The company said it would launch 10 such networks over an eight year period. Two African-American owned networks are targeted to launch by JANUARY 28, 2013, according to the agreement.” Seems like Diddy is winning with this and recently signing the very talent French Montana to Bad Boys.
