According to Billboard, Lauryn Hill has inked a $1 million deal with Sony and this will help her dodged jail time. The singer-songwriter will write 5 songs for $1 million dollars and it will pay off her debt to the IRS. On top of the million, the star will also get additional funds to record an entire album. Last year, Lauryn pleaded guilty to not paying federal taxes on $1.8 million earned between 2005-2007, possibly facing up to three years in jail. Seems like everything is on the up for Lauren. You know Jersey girls ALWAYS make do!
In other news, Lauryn’s ex lover and ex Fugues member Wyclef even offered some help. Clef said his “door is always open” if Lauryn needs him. In the interview Clef seemed to be unaware of Lauryn’s recent troubles, but he offered help and said he never closed his door to her. He said,
“We can beef as much as we want, but if something was ever to happen to her i would feel bad.”
That’s very big of him. Good shit Clef! #Yele
