DJANGO UNCHAINGED’ PULLED FROM THEATRES IN CHINA
Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained was reportedly pulled from theatres in China yesterday (April 11th) — blaming an unspecified technical issue. According to Fox News, Tian Zaixing, the general manager of the Beichen Fortune Center movie theater in Kunming said, “We were excited about the film yesterday. We had had high expectations for this film’s box office.”

THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES
Opening today (April 12th) in wide release is the new drama, The Place Beyond the Pines, starring Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta. The film follows Luke, played by Gosling, a motorcycle performer who, wanting to provide for his family, starts robbing banks but even his amazing skills on a motorcycle can’t keep him from brushing with law in the form of police officer, Avery Cross, played by Cooper.

SCARY MOVIE 5
Opening today (April 12th) is the new comedy Scary Movie 5, starring Charlie Sheen, Katt Williams, Ashley Tisdale, Anthony Anderson, Regina Hall, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Hyland and Molly Shannon. The film follows a couple who realize they’re being stalked by a demon after moving into a new home.

Opening today (April 12th) is the drama 42, starring Harrison Ford, Chadwick Boseman, Christopher Meloni, Nicole Behari, Lucas Black and T.R. Knight. The film, based on the true story, follows Jackie Robinson, played by Boseman, who gets signed to the Brooklyn Dodgers by GM Branch Rickey, played by Ford, breaking the Major League’s color line.
