Operator In Philly Building Collapse Turns Himself In – 42 year old Sean Benschop was the man who was operating the excavator at the scene of the deadly collapse in Center City last Wednesday. An arrest warrant was issued for him on Friday night after a search was done of his house. The collapse left 6 people dead and 14 others injured. Toxicology reports taken after the incident revealed that Benschop had weed and painkillers in his system but his lawyer is denying the allegations. He was wearing a bandage on his right arm when he turned himself into police. He said he had been injured at a work site, but he declined to say where or when. His lawyer says that he has been in the business for 13 years and the collapse was an accident despite the previous times he has been arrested for dealing and possessing drugs. He is expected to be charged with 13 counts of reckless endangerment and one count of risking a catastrophe.


Snooki Is Looking For The Next Big Thing – The MTV reality star is launching Team Snooki Music as a program to help rising artists get more exposure. Snooks said, “Basically, I decided to give a couple of artists the chance to get out there and get noticed in hopes of getting signed and basically have their dreams come true. That’s basically what Team Snooki Music is, just helping them with my networking and Twitter, Facebook and just trying to get them out there because I think they have great talent.” So she’s a label rep now? I just can’t.


NSA Contract Worker With Surveilance Info Reveals Himself – The 29 year old former CIA employee who is now working for the NSA is the source behind the reports on the US govt’s surveillance programs. Edward Snowden has revealed himself as the person responsible for disclosing top-secret National Security documents that showed the US government’s surveillance of citizens’ phone and email records. During a recent interview he said, “I have no intention of hiding who I am because I know I have don’t nothing wrong.” He expects there the be repercussions for his actions but said “I really want the focus to be on these documents and the debate which I hope this will trigger among citizens around the globe about what kind of world we want to live in.” He is accused of being in violation of the code of conduct and could be charged with breaking the Espionage Act. He is currently in Hong Kong and US security want him bought back to be prosecuted. He must wanna go to jail. Snitching Rule 101 !! If you gonna tell – do it and hide! LMAO! Cory Booker Joins Senate Race – One of my favs, Newark, NJ mayor Cory Booker, has made his bid for the state’s open senate seat official. A recent statement said, “Too many people have come to believe that Washington DC is a place where nothing can get done…I tell you today that I reject that attitude. We in New Jersey won’t accept this attitude, especially when we know we can do more.”


4 Year Old Shoots Dad – 35 year old Justin Thomas was killed after his 4 year old son got hold of a hand gun that he found in a home in Arizona. The father-son duo were visiting a friend when the toddler found the weapon and asked his dad what it was before accidentally firing. The friend did not know that the two were going to be stopping by so he didn’t put his guns away. No charges have been filed because the incident has been identified as an accident.

Chrysler Finally Agrees To Recall – Chrysler has decided to do two recalls that will affect 630K vehicles worldwide. This decision comes just days after they refused a government request to recall 2.7 million older model jeeps. The Jeep Patriot and Compass models from 2010 to 2012 are affected because of issues with air bags and seat belts. The Jeep Wranglers from 2012-2013 are affected because of fluid leaks. Customers who own these models are urged to call Chrysler at 800-853-1403.


Another Bear On Princeton’s Campus – Wild Life officials are on the look out for a black bear that was reported to have been seen in Princeton, NJ on Saturday. The bear was seen on two separate blocks and on the Princeton University campus. Officials are warning people not to feed or approach the bear. If you should see it stay calm and avoid direct eye contact.


Philly School District Sends Layoff Notices – 1/5 or 3,783 Philadelphia school district employees have received pink slips. The layoff notices were for employees including teachers, counselors and noontime aides. The layoffs are expected to save the district $215 million of the $300 million they are short. Superintendent Hite said, “The School District of Philadelphia must live within its means.” While opponents of the layoffs are saying that schools without support staff are “unconscionable” and “unsafe”.
