July Jam

Tomorrow the annual WaWa Welcome America Philly aka the July Jam will go down! Hosted by Philadelphia’s own Kevin Hart the concert is the biggest free outdoor concert in the country! Artists set to perform include The Roots, Jill Scott, Ne-yo, John Mayer, J. Cole, Grace Potter and Demi Lovato. If you can’t make it out to the Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Philly between 7 and 11 you can catch the show’s live broadcast on VH1 and on 6abc at 7pm.


Today if your off early today you can check out the All Day Festival Today called “The City” from 2p-9p at The Piazza and that’s free. And then tonight at the TLA Questlove and D’Angelo are going to be there and you need more than a couple of dollars to get into that.



Movie Openings


Kevin Hart – Let Me Exlpain : Opening today is the new film that follows comedian Kevin Hart on his comedy tour, Kevin Hart: Let Me Explain. The film captures Kevin Hart’s 2012 councert tour, Let Me Explain, which spanned 10 countries and 80 cities.


The Lone Ranger: is the new action/adventure film from director Gore Verbinski, The Lone Ranger, starring Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Tom Wilkinson, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale and Helena Bonham Carter. The film follows Tonto as he recalls the untold stories of himself and John Reid, the Lone Ranger, an unlikely pair who worked together to fight against greed and corruption.


Despicable Me 2: is the next chapter of the family film Despicable Me 2, with Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Benjamin Bratt, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Ken Jeong and Steve Coogan lending their voices. The film follows Gru, an ex-villain, who has given up his life of crime to raise Margo, Agnes and Edith and takes a new job with the Anti-Villain League to help them capture a new villain.



On NBC, Macy’s 4th Of July Fireworks Spectacular with Cannon hosting; Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw are performing.


Celebrations For July 4th Holiday Begins In Philly – Rain couldn’t stop the pre-fourth of July turn up! Last night fireworks broke out for the 4th of July celebrations at Penns Landing.
