Police Believe Race Was Not A Factor In Chris Lane Shooting – Christopher Lane, a white Austrailian student who was shot in Oklahoma, was believed to have been shot because of racial tension. One of the teens accused of shooting him had previously tweeted things like “90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM” and “Ayeee I knocced out 5 woods since Zimmerman court!:)” Investigators are now saying that they do not think race was a factor in Lane’s death. The District Attorney said, “At this point, the evidence does not support the theory that Christopher Lane was targeted based upon his race or nationality. The evidence is insufficient to establish that race was the primary motive in the murder of Christopher Lane.” One of the shooting suspects is ½ white and the getaway driver is white. The two accused of shooting lane are facing life without parole while the driver is facing 45 years. The fund set up to help Lane’s family with the funeral expenses has already raised about $155,000.
George Zimmerman Lawyers Say Gun Factory Visit Was Inappropriate – As if getting pulled over and having a gun wasn’t enough- George Zimmerman thought it appropriate to visit a gun factory. TMZ revealed a picture of George Zimmerman smiling and posing with a Kel-Tec employee. He was allegedly inquiring about the legality of purchasing a Kel-Tec shotgun. Lawyers for Zimmerman have spoken out about the issue saying, “We understand how George visiting the factory … is seen as inappropriate. We certainly would not have advised him to go to the factory that made the gun that he used to shoot Trayvon Martin through the heart. That was not part of our public relations plan.” Kel-Tec came to Zimmerman’s defense saying that he simply wanted to see the manufacturing facility. Trayvon Martin’s mother has spoken out to say that she will one day forgive Zimmerman for killing her son, “As Christians we have to forgive. But it’s a process, and we are still going through that healing process. We are still in the process of forgiveness. We know it’s coming but we’re just not there yet.”
No Charges For Boy Who Shot Grandma – An 8 year old Louisiana boy who shot and killed his grandmother after playing video games will be allowed to stay at home and receive counseling. Under LA state law because the boy is under 10 years old he cannot be charged with a crime. The boy was allegedly playing Grand Theft Auto IV at his grandmother’s house while she watched TV. He later picked up the .38 handgun from a purse and shot her from 3 feet away. According to friends and family the boy and his grandma had a healthy and loving relationship. The boy will be allowed to live with his mother, father and two other siblings. The entire family will be receiving counseling.
Barack Obama Is A Good Tipper – According to the sources Obama stopped for lunch at a deli in Rochester, NY and tipped on top of the added gratuity. Basically he double tipped. He also bought lunch for all his secret service men. The bill was for $89.84 and that automatically included the tip. He added an additional 20% which is $30. So in total Obeezy left a 52% tip.
Aaron Hernandez Cousin Gets Charged– As if the Hernandez family doesn’t have enough to deal with given that Aaron is facing charges from multiple murder cases – now his cousin Tanya Singleton has been charged. The day after Hernandez was indicted on the first degree murder and weapons charges. His cousin was asked to testify before the grand jury in this case and she is refusing to do so. So they charged her with contempt and she plead not guilty. The district attorney believes that she has valuable information that she is withholding. Court records show that Hernandez’ boy told investigators they dropped Aaron off at her house and that he discussed the killing with her.
George Zimmerman Has Lost His Damn Mind – George Zimmerman plans to ask the state of Florida to cover $200,000 to $300,000 of his legal expenses. Because Zimmerman was acquitted, state law requires Florida to pay all his legal costs.
Sarah Murnagham Going Home – Sarah Murnagham, the 10 year old who’s case sparked a national debate about children receiving organ donations from adults is heading home. She received two lung transplants because of her cystic fibrosis and her mother posted to her Facebook “We are going home tomorrow!!” Sarah has been taken off of the oxygen machines and is starting to walk again too!
Final Powerball Winner Comes Forward – The third and final winner of the $448 million powerball jackpot has come forward. The man is from New Jersey and bought his ticket at a South Brunswick grocery store. Mario Scarnici claimed his $86 million share of the prize and came forward with his two sons to announce that he will be taking the cash lump sum, which is about $62 million after taxes. Scarnici could not be reached for comment but the Stop & Shop where he bought the ticket spoke out to say how happy they were to have sold the ticket and will receive $30,000 commission.
