George Zimmerman Pulled Over- Less than a month after being acquitted of murder George Zimmerman was pulled over in Texas for speeding and had a gun in the glove compartment of his car. He allegedly told police that the gun was in the car and when asked where he was headed he said “nowhere in particular.” Zimmerman must also think that he’s a celebrity because he asked the officer if he recognized him from television. Zimmerman was let go with a verbal warning. He has a concealed carry permit in Florida that was re-instated after the trial ended and is legally allowed to carry a weapon in most states. His lawyer said, “He’s in Texas trying to get some peace, but it’s a little sad that he’s been acquitted for a crime and there are people are harassing him. He cannot even help people on the street and get stopped by a cop and it not being news.” Doubt anyone feels sorry that he can’t live the normal life he wants.

His parole was granted because of his “positive institutional record” and his dealing with problems that caused “the behavior that led to his incarceration.” Unfortunately for him this doesn’t mean that he’ll be a free man any time soon. The parole is effective October 2nd and he still has at least 4 more years behind bars for other charges associated with the case.
