Opening today (August 9th) is the new animated family film, Planes, with Anthony Edwards, Teri Hatcher, Dane Cook, Brad Garrett, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, Val Kilmer and Sinbad lending their voices. The film follows Dusty, a plane who’s afraid of heights but dreams of competing in a famous aerial race, who, with the help of his friend and mentor, Skipper, sets out to make his dream come true. Opening today (August 9th) is the new action/adventure film, Elysium, starring Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Alice Braga and William Fitchner. Set in the year 2154, where the very wealthy live on a man-made space station while the rest of the population resides on a ruined Earth, a man takes on a mission that could bring equality to the polarized worlds. Opening today (Wednesday August 7th) is the new comedy We’re the Millers, starring Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Ed Helms, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Nick Offerman and Kathryn Hahn. The film follows small time pot dealer David, played by Sudeikis, who’s in debt to his supplier and must go to Mexico to pick up the supplier’s cash and stash but in order to do so he must put together a fake family and drive across the border back into the US in a huge RV. Opening today (Wednesday August 7th) is the new adventure film, Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters, starring Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Brandon T. Jackson, Nathan Fillion and Stanley Tucci. In order to restore their dying safe haven, the son of Poseidon and his friends embark on a quest to the Sea of Monsters to find the mythical Golden Fleece while trying to stop an ancient evil from rising. Winnie Mandela Trailer

Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson will star in the new film, Winnie Mandela, which will hit theaters on September 6th. The movie is a T.D. Jakes produced biopic about the ex-wife of Nelson Mandela. The film chronicles Winnie Mandela’s early life in South Africa, her political activism and her campaign to win the freedom of her then husband, Nelson, from prison. Terrence Howard will play Mandela is the film which was shot back in 2010.

DMX To Appear Alongside Chris Rock In Upcoming Film
DMX returning to acting. He’ll be making a cameo appearance in an upcoming film starring Chris Rock. DMX’s representative explained, “The scene is comedic which allowed X to show off his versatility as an actor. X and Rock played well off each other and Rock’s character even gets DMX to lead the inmates in a song. There are more acting roles to come and DMX is also planning on attending the Sundance Film Festival in January.”

Season Opener – Breaking Bad
The second half of the final season kicks off this Sunday, August 11th on AMC at 9 P.M.  Breaking Bad stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt and RJ Mitte. The show follows Walter White, a teacher who turns into a meth cooker and dealer in order to provide a future for his family.
