Chance-The-Rapper-Acid-Rap

This is one of the best kept secrets and perceived by many as the mixtape releases of the year. It’s made the Chicago MC, a magazine cover star and the hottest free agent in this business of rap, not bad for only two official project releases.

Paying homage to his hometown, Chance details the drama in his environment: “They murking kids, they murder kids here/Why you think they don’t talk about it?/They deserted us here/Where the fuck is Matt Lauer at?/Somebody get Katie Couric here.”

Features include TDE’s own Ab-Soul, Queens emcee Action Bronson, and Childish Gambino. Still its Chance that remains the true highlight, especially on “Acid Rain.”  “I am a new man, I am sanctified/Oh I am holy, I have been baptized/I have been born again/I am the white light.”

There’s no denying that Chance will continue to show off his ability as he is beginning nation wide tours and has been opening up for some major artists over the summer. His sound, material, and direction is a new type of energy that is needed in hip hop, peep the whole tape below.
