The You Tube Music Awards have released the full list of nominees for the upcoming awards ceremony. Users will be able to vote for their favorite artists and videos by going to youtube.com/musicawards or by searching YTMA on youtube. The nominees were picked based on the artists who have had the most engagement over the past 12 months through views, likes, shares, comments and subscriptions. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are in the lead with three nods, including Video of the Year and Artist of the Year. Nicki Minaj isn’t trailing too far behind with two nominations for Artist of the Year and Video of the Year with her feature on Justin Bieber’s record, “Beauty And A Beat.” I was a little disappointed in the list. I thought people like Sweet Brown and Antoine Dodson and the guy from Cleveland that found the girls that had been held hostage for 10 years were going to somehow be involved, but that’s not the case. The nomination categories include: Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Response of the Year, YouTube Phenomenon, YouTube Breakthrough and Innovation of the Year. The awards will stream live on November 3rd and will feature live performances by Lady Gaga, Eminem, Tyler the Creator, MIA and others.
