Philadelphia’s own Kevin Hart is giving back to his city in a major way. Yesterday Mayor Nutter announced that the comedian will be donating 300 computers to Philadelphia School District schools and another 200 to city recreation centers. The schools set to receive the computers are Hartranft, Leeds, McCloskey, Overbrook Elementary, Rhodes, Stearne, Tilden and Mitchell while 27 rec centers are also on the list. Hart said that he is “blessed” to be able to give back to the city that gave him so much and Mayor Nutter said, “these computers will allow our students to expand their studies, explore new course material, and prepare for college and careers for years to come.” Some schools will start to receive their computers as early as November.
