Day 2 Of Government Shutdown – The Republican led House and Democratic led Senate still can’t agree on Obamacare. The republicans won’t pass the budget because they are not for giving Americans affordable healthcare, however this bill was passed 3 years ago and I don’t understand why Republicans waited this long. They are playing with the economy and people’s pockets. 300,000 “non-essential” government employees are currently temporarily out of work because of this while the feds still get paid. Well see how long this lasts. Last time the government shutdown during the Clinton Administration is lasted 3 months.
Health Insurance Exchange Opens And Users Cant Get In – Yesterday was the first day that Americans could start to sign up for health insurance and exchanges through Obamacare. Thanks to heavy traffic on the site, healthcare.gov, many users weren’t unable to sign into the system. 36 states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware are using the site. People who tried to login got the following message “Please wait. We have a lot of visitors on our site right now and we’re working to make your experience here better. Please wait here until we send you to the login page. Thanks for your patience!” Even states that are using their own systems experienced delays. Once the site simmers down a bit people will be able to create an account, apply, pick a plan and enroll. Customers can call 1-800-318-2596 24/7 to sign for an account as well.
Pregnant 2 Year Old Gives Birth – A toddler in China ‘gave birth’ to his own twin. During X-rays conducted (because the boys stomach had swelled to 2/3 its normal size) doctors discovered that the little boy was in a sense pregnant. He had absorbed the under-developed fetus of his twin brother while he was in his mother’s womb. The fetus had a spine, fingers and toes. He was rushed from his village and operated on so he in a sense gave birth to his own parasitic twin. The fetus was 20 cm long and doctors say could have killed him if it was left untreated for much longer.

Bikers Beat Down Man Driving A SUV – A 33 year old man, his wife and 2 year old daughter were driving on the highway when they found themselves surrounded by 30 motorcycles. The man was driving an SUV and one of the bikers crossed in front of him, which caused him to hit the rider. The rider was knocked off of his bike and the SUV stopped but felt intimidated when the bikers all surrounded him, so he pulled off running over another biker by mistake. The other bikers started to follow him. The chase ended when the SUV got stuck in traffic. One of the bikers smashed the mans window in with his helmet, they slashed his tires and they pulled the driver of the vehicle out of his car and jumped him. All of the action was caught on tape via a helmet camera. No arrests have been made yet but police are investigating the incident.
