During an interview with GQ for their ‘Man of the Year’ issue Kendrick Lamar, who is Rapper Of The Year according to GQ, spoke on his relationship with Drizzy Drake. The beef started when Kendrick called Drizzy out on his Control verse. Things seemed to be okay at the VMA’s but Drake made it clear that everything was not all good. During an interview Drake said, “You can’t just say that and then see me and be like, ‘Yeah, man, what’s up?’—pretending like nothing ever happened.” Kendrick doesn’t seem to be too phased. When asked by GQ if he saw Drake as a role model he said “No—peer. If anything. We all peers.” As for the current state of their situation he was asked how things were and he replied “Pretty cool. And I mean, I would be okay if we weren’t.” This seems about right. Kendrick could give two f’s about things. He has already said plenty of times that Control verse was purely in the spirit of competition. However i agree with Drizzy too! You can’t talk semi crazy and then not talk to me about it. Drizzy needs to talk it out. He needs closure! LOL okay i’ll stop. I just couldn’t resist. Check out the interview HERE.
