There has been a bunch of controversy these past few weeks surrounding TLC’s VH1 biopic and the portrayal of their former manager Pebbles.  Drama has been in full swing between Pebbles filing a defamation lawsuit against Chilli, TBoz and VH1 as well as Pebbles’ daughter threatening physical harm to the group. Cattiness aside, there may be bigger issues for TLC. Rumors have been swirling that the duo may have been dropped from Epic Records- who they just signed a deal with back in July for their 20th anniversary album and new material. TLC is no longer listed on Epic’s website under their ‘Artists’ page. It gets even messier because LA Reid was heading the new album deal with them but he is also Pebbles’ ex-husband. Most sources are alleging that LA Reid ended the deal because he wanted to stay out of the situation.

Chilli got wind of the rumors and took to Twitter to say her piece:

She then gave us a little bit of hope with this message

There’s still speculation because Chilli didn’t deny the rumors but we’ll have to wait until some official statements from either TLC or Epic are released.
