TV Premieres

  • Patti Labelle On Oprah
  •  Black Girls Rock honored Queen Latifah among other women.
  •  Housewife of Atlanta Premiered

Kerry Washington and Eminem on SNL –  There has been some criticism of SNL not having black women comedians on their roster and they addressed that in the opening statement. In the skit Kerry is playing Michelle and she has to rush off stage to change into Oprah and while she’s changed they scrolled the following message. “The producers of Saturday Night Livewould like to apologize to Kerry Washington for the number of black women she will be asked to play tonight…Ms. Washington is an actress of considerable range and talent and also because ‘SNL’ does not currently have a black woman in the cast. As for the latter reason, we agree this is not an ideal situation and look forward to rectifying it in the near future…unless, of course, we fall in love with another white guy first.” Kerry played Michelle Obama among other characters like Miss Universe, a jealous girlfriend and a womans power character. Some people are upset because she they had her play a ghetto woman.

Terell Owens On Iyanla – Terell talks about his mom being 17-years old when he was born and sending him live with his grandmother because she couldn’t give me a stable home. Apparently he grandmother was very strict and he talks about being abused by her. He also revealed that his biological father, who lived across the street, hadn’t come into the picture until he was 11 years old.

The Walking Dead –Was amazing.  The majority of the episode was about character development and people letting go of their problems in order to adjust to the new zombie apocalypse. But the biggest shocking thing is at the end when Rick tells Carol to leave the prison because she killed the 2 people who were sick with the flu.
