News: Top 20 Charitable Celebrities Of 2013

Over the course of the year we’ve seen several celebrities make strides to give back to their hometowns, the country and the world. From things like Game’s ‘Robin Hood Project‘ to Meek Mill’s 2 day Thanksgiving food drive to Pusha T’s Virginia sneaker drive. More and more celebrities have been getting shine for the positive things they are doing.

That being said, the close of the year brings with it an onslaught of ‘end of the year’ lists and not to be omitted is the ‘Most Charitable Celebrities of 2013’ compilation. Social change website: DoSometing.Org has put together a list of the celebrities who made efforts to ‘go good’ over the course of the year. Coming in at number one was Country Music sensation Taylor Swift who was praised for her giving of $100,000 to the Nashville Symphony on her birthday as well as headlining an even that was raising awareness about teen homelessness. Mrs. Carter came in at number 3 on the list and was given accolades for headlining the ‘Chime For Change’ concert in London which was a charity concert for Women’s rights. The late Paul Walker came in at number 4 and his ReachOutWorldWide organization dedicated to providing first responders to disaster stricken areas was highlighted. Also making the top 20 were Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lawrence, Alicia Keys, Kevin Durant, Kendrick Lamar and Justin Bieber.
