Paul Walker Passes Away – Over the weekend ‘Fast and Furious’ actor Paul Walker, who was 40, and his long time friend and business partner Roger Rodas tragically died in a car crash. Walker was a passenger in the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT that slammed into a utility pole and burst into flames as the two were on their way to a holiday toy drive charity event for Reach Out Worldwide which was helping with the relief efforts in the Philippines. According to the latest reports, the crash is being investigated and authorities are saying that speed was definitely a factor in the solo car collision.Countless fans and celebrities have expressed their condolences and grieving for the star including his ‘Fast and Furious’ costars Vin Diesel and Tyrese. Paul is survived by his 15 year old daughter Meadow.

An Autograph Carmelo Anthony Costs How Much? – An ESPN business sports reporter revealed via Twitter that if you want any signed merchandise from Carmelo Anthony you need to be ready to pay a pretty penny. He tweeted, “Steiner Sports has signed Carmelo Anthony to an exclusive autograph deal. His autograph will cost $350-$600 depending on item.”

 

Aaron Hernandez Pleads The 5th Shooting Outside Club – Aaron Hernandez is currently being held without bail for first degree murder charges in the death of his former friend Odin Lloyd. Now, he has more charges against him for allegedly shooting his friend Alexander Bradley in the face back in February. Bradley says that the two got into an argument outside of a Miami club before Hernandez shot him in the face and left him bleeding outside bleeding. The case was originally suspended because Bradley refused to tell authorities who shot him but has since named Hernandez as the suspect. According to the court filing Hernandez’s lawyers state, “Defendant asserts his rights under the Fifth Amendment and, therefore, declines to respond to the allegations.” As a result of his injuries Bradley lost his right eye and will need several more reconstructive surgeries in addition to the ones he’s already had.

 

Jonathan Martin Season Over? – Sources report that Jonathan Martin, the center of the Miami Dolphins hazing and racial discrimination scandal, has been removed from the team’s 53 man roster. Martins name has been placed on a “reserve/ non football” illness list, which means that he is done for the season. Because of the change safety D.J. Campbell will now be moved up from the practice team and placed on the official roster. Incognito has agreed to extend his suspension from the team while the investigation is onging- he will continue to get paid.

 

Shoppers Turn Out In Record Numbers, But Spending Down – People turned out in record numbers over the Black Friday weekend that kicks off the holiday shopping season, thanks to retailers opening even earlier on Thanksgiving Day and the deals being offered. But while they were in the stores and going to shopping sites online, they weren’t buying as much, and spending was down. A record 141 million people were expected to shop in stores and online over the four-day weekend, up from 137 million last year, according to the National Retail Federation. But total spending was expected to fall for the first time since the trade group began tracking it in 2006, down an estimated 2.9 percent to $57.4 billion. Overall, however, the trade group still expects sales for the combined two months of the holiday season to increase 3.9 percent to $602.1 billion.
