Woman Fired From BP For Ethnic Clothing – A former executive at BP has allegedly been fired for her “ethnic style”. Melphine Evans is suing the oil company because she says she was let go for her braided hair and ethnic clothing. The 24 page lawsuit confirms that Evans is seeking damages for race and gender discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. She claims that some of the comments made towards her included “You intimidate and make your colleagues uncomfortable by wearing ethnic clothing and ethnic hairstyles (Dashikis, twists, braids/cornrows)”; “If you insist on wearing ethnic clothing/hairstyles-you should only do so during ‘culture day,’ black history month or special diversity events/days”; and “If you are going to wear ethnic clothing, you should alert people in advance that you will be wearing something ethnic …” Current BP execs say that evans was an employee for 10 years and was fired because she didn’t get along with her colleagues and was a “bully” with “overly aggressive behavior.” Evans challenges these claims saying that her yearly review stated “Melphine is a people person. She engages her entire organization and is sincere in her desire to ensure all are valued and heard.” Despite this the BP execs say that all of their employees are treated fairly and that they do not discuss personnel issues publicly.

Zimmerman’s lawyer said “I’m hoping that the prosecutors will take a good hard look at this and take the target off of George’s back and drop the charges.” The hearing is scheduled for the near future.

Viagra Might Helps With Cramps – A new study suggests that Viagra may not only be beneficial to men. It’s been found that the main ingredient in Viagra, sildenafil citrate, may help women in alleviating severe menstrual cramps. One gynecologist involved said, “It seems counterintuitive, but what sildenafil citrate does is dilate blood vessels. It leads to an erection in men, but in women, we think it can be an effective treatment for acute menstrual pain.” This was tested with a group of women between the ages of 18 and 25- some were given the sildenafil citrate and others were given a placebo. The woman in the citrate group reported severe pain relief. The researchers confirm that more analysis needs to be done.

Unfortunately, employees missed the deep sleeper on their walk through- he didn’t wake up when the plane landed. About 30 minutes later the door was unlocked and employees were startled and asked him what he was doing there. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused for the passenger.” Wagner was put into a hotel for the night and flown out to California the next day- Expressjet gave him a $250 voucher for his next flight.
