New York Knicks’ JR Smith is facing a hefty fine thanks to some shoelaces. During the Knicks game against Dallas on Sunday Smith was caught trying to untie Shawn Marlon’s shoelaces. He was quietly reprimanded and told not to do it again. Unfortunately he didn’t listen because on Tuesday’s game against the Pistons Smith tried to untie Greg Monroe’s sneakers as they waited for a free throw. He didn’t get away with it tho and was slapped with a $50K NBA fine for “unsportsmanlike conduct.” Chef Woodson is not amused with Smith’s antics saying “There’s no question he’s done a lot of things this year that has put him in a bad position and our team in a bad position. This is unacceptable. It’s just got to stop. I keep saying this every time something pops up, but it’s got to stop.” Common JR!
