South Hit By Winter Storm – They’re not used to snow in the South, so when a rare winter storm hit the region yesterday, dropping more then three inches of snow in some areas, it caused hundreds of wrecks and gridlock. Many people in the region don’t know how to drive in the snow, and many cities don’t have salt trucks or snowplows to deal with it. Many children were even stuck at their schools as buses couldn’t get through on the roads and neither could parents to get them. The governors of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi all declared states of emergency. When i woke up i saw a thin coat of snow outside so something is definetly happening with this weather. Atlanta completely shut down and the mayor did not prepare at all for this! How could he though? It’s not exactly that these states have the equipment to deal with that kind of weather since its not typical for them at all.
Obama Delivers State Of The Union Address – Last night President Obama addressed the country with his 2014 State Of The Union Address. Instead of laying out an extensive plan, he outlined a package of modest executive actions he wants to take, stating that he would act alone if necessary. That doesn’t surprise me since its been hard for him to pass an legislation because of the gridlock between the parties. Obama also pressed lawmakers to pass immigration reform and well as increased the federal minimum wage. Obama talked about the economy and how they need pass laws that help it bounce as the way back. Obama also defended Obamacare and he also challenged Republicans to come up with their own health care ideas if they are a fan of his. So Obeezy wants to give America a raise.
Vin Diesel Dances To Beyonce And Katy Perry – Maybe Vin Diesel was inspired by Sunday night’s Grammy performances because he posted a comedy filled video of himself dancing to Katy Perry’s ‘Dark Hoarse’ and Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love’. The video was 7 minutes long and was accompanied with the caption “You know I love the music…”. In the video Vin is doing the surfboard grabbing on himself and in the camera singing. Made me wonder if this guy high? In addition to the performance Diesel gave his fans an update on his 2013 ‘Riddick,’ which is currently number one on the DVD charts. As of last night the video had racked up 700,000+ likes.
Jonathan Martin Finally Speaks Out – Jonathan Martin, the former Miami Dolphins player who accused his team mates of hazing and bullying has spoken out about his experience for the first time since he left the team back in October. Martin described how he felt “trapped” by the bullying and decided the best way to handle it was to separate himself from the environment. He told Tony Dungy, “I’m a man. I’m a grown man. I’ve been in locker rooms. There’s vulgar language in locker rooms. One instance doesn’t bother me. It’s the persistence of it. I wish I would have had more tools to solve my situation . . . but I didn’t. I felt trapped like I didn’t have a way to make it right. And it came down to the point where, you know, I thought it was best just to remove myself from the situation.” Richie Incognito, the suspended team mate accused of the most aggressive bullying, has apologized for his participation but also claimed that the interaction between himself and Martin was just how they “communicated”. Martin’s lawyer has claimed that Martin’s experiences went far beyond regular locker room hazing. The owner of the team was also doing press and was asked if either player was coming back on the team and he said he doubted it, but quickly retracted his words after he realized what he said.
