AAHH-Fest

The Chicago-Sun Times is reporting that the two along with Rhymefest are teaming up with the Chicago Urban League to create more than 1,000 year-round jobs for youth in the city. West’s charity Donda’s House and Common’s charity Common’s Common Ground Foundation are working with several other nonprofit organizations, public and private sectors. An annual musical festival launching in September, the AAHH! Fest, will help raise funds for the jobs program.Their long term goal is to create job opportunities for more than 15,000 youth. Common spoke about the partnership saying, “Any time I hear of innocent people getting shot and killed and young people with guns, it hurts. I felt I have to do more than just write songs about Chicago.”
