News: Nas, Google & Microsoft To Fund Tech Scholarship

General Assembly, a private tech school in New York focused on programming and engineering is looking to bridge the minority gap in the technology industry. An “Opportunity-Fund” has been created to support women, African Americans, Latinos and veterans gain access to the sciences. Nas in partnership with Microsoft and Google will be some of the major funders of the project. Nas’ QueensBridge Venture Partners mission will focus on African Americans and Latinos, Microsoft will focus on veterans and Google will focus on women. Their funds will help these minority groups pay tuition to attend the school.
