A 50 Cent affiliate has been arrested in connection with the robbery of Slowbucks’ chain during HOT 97’s Summer Jam. The arrest came shortly after Slow and his team announced that they were launching an official investigation on the theft.
Slow asserted that he was not after “criminal justice” but was after “brand justice” because the theft of the gold chain threatened the integrity of his brand. A man named Mikey Fingers was arrested for his involvement in the case. Fingers’ friend Mike Lighty took to Twitter to call Slowbucks out saying, “#ShoutOut The coward @slowbucks For Snitching On the Homie Aka Tio #MikeyFingers !!!!! These @slowbucks Cats talk about killing drugs and gangs But when the block Is flamming these be the same Cowards Snitching and pointing People Out ….. #Free my ni*** #MikeyFingers !!!!” Slow adamantly rejects all of the “snitching” allegations coming his way saying that his investigation launch was about brand management.
Speaking of this whole situation it seems like 50 has found a new target to clown. G Unit performed over the weekend and 50 took a slight jab at Slowbucks on stage saying “I want everyone to get home safe, because there’s so much police in here courtesy of Slowbucks.” Slow, who is the CEO of Slowbucks – an up and coming clothing line, heard about this and posted a picture of 50 wearing a police badge, which seems like an attack on the street credibility. Slowbucks’ followers started commenting saying that the badge was clearly for a movie role.
50 cent responded (also on the gram) – we know he likes to clown people on Instagram. Watch what he said,
50 cent is adamant that he did not know anything about the chain being snatched behind him as he performed. This whole thing sounds ridiculous. Who snitched, who didn’t snitch. Seems like people are getting street culture mixed up with business culture. Don’t get it twisted they are not the same. You can not operate on both because both worlds are different. Choose one!
