On Saturday, Rick Ross was scheduled to close out a Summer Jam show in Detroit but after receiving numerous threats, he decided not to make the appearance. Ross was allegedly approached outside of the concert venue by more than 100 people including Detroit rapper Trick Trick. Rozay is apparently on a Detroit “No Fly Zone” list meaning that any rapper, himself included, that doesn’t collaborate with D rappers or pay a tithe to the city isn’t welcome to perform there. The director of the show told the crowd “He is in fear of his life and that n—- is not performing here tonight and he may never come back to Detroit, and that’s no bulls—.” Ross tried to do damage control via Twitter posting, “Luv #Detroit I wuz ready to killm 2nite, heard it wuz a peace protest wit picket signs and locked gates haa.”
