Over the weekend, Jay Z kicked off his 4:44 tour in California and addressed Texans’ owner Bob McNair’s recent controversial comments. Last week McNair was commenting on the ongoing national anthem protests in the NFL and said, “We can’t have the inmates running the prison”. Jay Z addressed the crowd and said, “[They’re] injuring themselves on the field, giving it all they got. That’s how they look at you. That’s what they think about you. We got so much further to go” and added that at the end of the day we’re all “brothers and sisters”. McNair has tried to clean up his statement saying he was referring to the league office and not the players- people are not buying it.
