Kendrick Lamar had an amazing 2017 and it doesn’t seem things will be slowing down for 2018. K Dot is sure to have a huge night at the Grammy’s on January 28th, Kendrick is nominated for 7 including Album Of The Year, and he surely will have a huge February because he has announced he will be curating and producing the soundtrack for the highly anticipated film, Black Panther. This is the first time Marvel integrates original music created specifically for them into one of their films, so this is huge for Kendrick. Kendrick was personally selected by the movies’ director Ryan Coogler, who also directed Creed and Fruitvale Station, to work on the soundtrack. Kendrick will be working alongside the CEO of his label TDE (Top Dawg Entertainment), Anthony Tiffith.

The film is expected to be huge! The actors in the film alone are epic! Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o, Michael B. Jordan,  Danai Gurira, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya, Phylicia Rasad, Sterling K. Brown, do we need to go on? The film is set in the fictional African nation of Wakanda, where Marvel’s first black mainstream superhero Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman, must face up to his responsibilities as king when Wakanda faces war.

The film releases on February 16th and below is the first single titled “All The Stars” featuring Kendrick’s TDE labelmate, SZA. The soundtrack titled Black Panther: The Album will be released 1 week before the movie on February 9th.
