Although Meek Mill currently sits in jail for violating his probation, his voice will be heard on the biggest sports stage this year. The Philadelphia Eagles will storm onto the field at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota with Meek Mill’s “Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)” booming in the background to kick off Super Bowl 52. It makes sense. The song has become an anthem for Philly and if you live in Philly chances are you know most if not all the words to the song. “If you’re going to go with a Philly song, that’s the one you’re going with,” said veteran defensive end Brandon Graham. The selection is definetly not a surprise. Meek Mill is a big representation of music coming out of Philly and the players have been using the song to get excited all year. The song was played right before the NFC Championship in Philly. When Meek Mill was sent back to jail for violating his probation many of the Eagles players including Malcolm Jenkins and Jalen Mills went to the rally and spoke in support of him. Music is a big part of how some of the players get motivated for a game. So its important the song chosen is the right song. Watch the birds take on the Patriots Sunday the 4th at 6:30p with Justin Timberlake performing at halftime.
