Mina “SayWhat” Llona has received her very first Gracie for her work in local radio while at IHeartMedia’s Power 99.  For 6 years Mina woke up the city of Philadelphia and presented an honest, intelligent, strong point of view. The Alliance For Women In Media (AWM) announced their 2018 Gracie Award winners on April 17th and Mina accepted her award on June 27th at Cipriani’s in New York City.  Mina joined Pam Oliver, Issa Rae, Shirley Strawberry, Reese Witherspoon, Katie Couric and other amazing women as this year’s winners.  Radio legend Angie Martinez presented at the award luncheon. In case your unfamiliar with the AWM, each year they spotlight “prolific women in the industry who continue to inspire and support others, break down barriers and lead by example in creating opportunity for future generations.”
