News: Rodney King Passes / His Last Radio Interview Posted on June 17, 2012October 15, 2013 By Mina SayWhat Tragically on Father’s Day we learned of Rodney Kings passing at the early age of 47. Rodney was found by his fiance in a swimming pool. Rodney will go down in history as the man who was beaten nearly to death by LA police, which then incited the LA Riots 20 years ago. Although he suffered everlasting pain from the police brutality he endured (he lived with a metal plate in his head as a result of the tragic beating), Rodney was a kind spirit and despite it all preached, “Can we just all get along.” It saddens us to know that he did his last radio interview with Mina SayWhat and the Rise & Grind Morning Show. Rodney leaves behind 3 children, a fiance and the legacy of a man that just wanted peace. We remember and shall miss you Rodney King! Check the interview by clicking below.
