New Artist: Remy Banks ft Nasty Nigel – rem. Posted on March 5, 2015March 7, 2015 By Anthony De Padua A significant lack of du-rags. For fans of boom-bap, or that “new york” sound of hip-hop, look no further than New York collective World’s Fair. A group of Queens natives signed to A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold, the group put out one of my favorite projects of 2013 with their album, Bastards of the Party. While the group has been relatively quiet since, one member of the fair, Remy Banks (otherwise known as the Du-Rag King) is currently gearing up to release his own solo project. One of the first offerings from Rem’s solo project features his World’s Fair brother Nasty Nigel, as the two come together for the track “rem.” The video finds the two, alongside the rest of World’s Fair, riding around Queens, giving viewers a little tour of the place they call home. All accompanied of course by a chilling piano assisted beat, that even the purest of boom-bap fanatics would appreciate. Check out the video below, and stay tuned for more from Rem & the rest of the Fair. New Artists Nasty NigelremRemy BanksWorld's Fair
