News: Meek Mill Hosts First Annual ‘Dreamchasers Thanksgiving’ Posted on November 26, 2013November 26, 2013 By @Lee_Carrie Meek Mill is no stranger to giving back to Philly and this Thanksgiving he is starting a new initiative to help needy families. He will be holding the first annual ‘Dreamchasers Thanksgiving’ which is a turkey and coat drive, The drive starts today will end tomorrow and aims to feed nearly 600 families in the Philadelphia community. Meek made an official statement about the drive and the inspiration behind it saying: Philly raised me and made me into the man I am today, so to do the first annual ‘A Dreamchasers Thanksgiving,’ was an obvious thing to do. I’m blessed to be in a position where I can make sure that as many people as possible have a meal on Thanksgiving, so that they can be with their loved ones to enjoy the holiday. In addition to the Dreamchasers team the mayor, his staff and several sponsors are also playing a big role in making this day possible. Meek continued his remarks by saying thanking them: This could not have been possible without the support of the Mayor and his amazing staff, as well as all of the other sponsors who are donating their time, money and turkeys. I’ve been all over the world but Philly is my home, and to be able to now give back is an amazing feeling. Today’s drive will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Adult Center (5PM-7PM) and the Hank Gathers Recreation Center (6PM-8PM). Tomorrow’s events will take place at the Vare Recreation Center from 4PM-6PM. The groups that will benefit from the drives include Youth Working Together, Town Watch and Unity In The Community. Shout out to Meek for genuinely caring about the city and giving back! News dreamchasersMeek Millthanksgiving
