The Best Of Mina SayWhat In 2020 Posted on January 7, 2021January 7, 2021 By Mina SayWhat 2020 was a rough year. The CoronaVirus Pandemic caused a lot of adjusting and difficult times, but in the midst of darkness there is always light. 2020 was a year of elevation for Mina SayWhat. She did two daily shifts on the radio from home (Nights on SIRIUSXM The Heat and Mid-days on 100.3 RNB Philly). It was a crucial time where people were looking for information, relief and help. During this time, Mina gave away food vouchers to essential workers, alerted people to government programs that could help with free food and housing assistance and broadcasted from free CoronaVirus testing centers. Mina was also very politically active and participated in police brutality protests and city clean up efforts in Philly. A big adjustment was hosting virtual events and broadcasting from home. For the first time ever Mina hosted virtual events and attended Eagles games via her cardboard cutout. She even made her very first university commencement speech virtually for Delaware State University. This ultimately led to the most important interview of Mina’s life thus far and possibility her career. One week prior to the historic 2020 Elections, Mina SayWhat interviewed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. This is the first time Mina interviewed candidates that would be the President and Vice President of the United States. On the entertainment side, Mina interviewed Megan Thee Stallion after the biggest year of her career and her interview with Lil Twist on her Mina’s House Podcast went viral with mentions on PerezHilton.com, Page Six, AceshowBiz.com, all major hip hop news outlets and all IHeartMedia radio station websites. To round out the year, Mina was named #4 on the list of “Top 10 Young Radio DJs” by RadioFacts and was named a “Woman of Style and Substance.” Check out Mina SayWhat’s top 10 moments of 2020.
