News: J Cole And Big Sean Shut Down Philly’s Made In America Posted on September 8, 2015September 8, 2015 By Mina SayWhat Made In America was crowded and hot, but very amazing this year! This year the festival was definitely bigger. They sold 10,000 more tickets and opened up 2 more blocks to accommodate the extra people. There were 5 stages. Beyonce headlined Day 1 and she was amazing, but she’s Beyonce, one of the best performers of our day and age, so there was no surprise there. There’s video showing Jay Z in the crowd watching and singing Beyonce’s 1+1 as she performed. She was also reppin Philly by wearing a Sixers shirt. At first many wondered if he was headliner material, but he was! His set was filled with high notes and dirty talk with a r&b/rock feel as his band played along. The 2 headliners were excellent, but J Cole and Big Sean stole the weekend. The both had the crowds in a frenzy. Their set list was on point! Big Sean had a very turnt up performance early afternoon that had the crowd going crazy as he performed hits like Mercy, Blessed, IDFWU, Clique, No Games and more. Going hard the whole night because I ain’t going back to my old life… I promise! 🙌 @bigsean #MadeInAmerica A video posted by Mina SayWhat (@minasaywhat) on Sep 6, 2015 at 9:19pm PDT Hold up, hold up, hold up, hold up, @bigsean #MadeInAmerica A video posted by Mina SayWhat (@minasaywhat) on Sep 7, 2015 at 7:20am PDT J. Cole came on shortly after the sun came down and delivered a solid show that kept the crowd on a musical high as he performed Power Trip, Nobody’s Perfect, Crooked Smile, No Role Modelz, Apparently and even took it back to his first mixtapes The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights performing Lights Please and In The Morning! He also said #2014foresthillsdrive is the only featureless album in 25 years to go platinum! Fabolous has an amazing set too and he bought out Freeway and the Young Gunz Chris and Neef out and he had Kevin Hart intro his performance via video. This guy is the truth! Love him! One of my favs! Fab!! #SheWildin @myfabolouslife A video posted by Mina SayWhat (@minasaywhat) on Sep 6, 2015 at 12:02pm PDT Future had a dope set during which he announced he has a project coming later this year. He did a lot of his newer music from Dirty Sprite 2. Meek Mill performed in front of his hometown bringing out his son to Whip and Nae Nae and he also bought out his girlfriend Nicki Minaj to perform “All Eyes On Me” with him. Before she left the stage he said she loves her “baby daddy,” which sparked up the pregnancy rumors once more. At one point he had his DJ play some music for the crowd to dance to. His DJ started playing a lot of Future and when Meek told him to play stop playing Future and switch it up and many people assumed he was starting a problem with Future, which was definitely not how it sounded watching it live.
