SayWhat! 2-Pac Reflections 15 Years Later Posted on September 14, 2011September 14, 2011 By Mina SayWhat Yesterday, 9/13, was the 15 year anniversary that the legendary Tupac Shakur passed. It’s always very sad to remember days like this for artists whose music inspired me as a kid because i realize how much i miss them. Like my love for Nas, I can’t even remember why and when i started liking 2 Pac. I just know that i always felt like 2 Pac was my voice. He said the things that i thought -the things i didn’t know how to say…… continued below I identified with his soul, his intellect, his loneliness and the pain in his spirit. He was emotional, out-spoken, socially conscious, strong and he struggled through life being raised in poverty by a single mother (like myself). 2 Pac’s music spoke directly to me probably because i lived the stories he told. That’s the beauty of music. We relate to it which is why it touches us and it’s days like yesterday when we reflect their impact on our lives. In honor of the man whose musical legacy and impact will probably never be matched, here are my top 10 2-Pac videos/songs. Check out his estates website 2pac.com for more information.
